I hear that this place gets packed on the weekends we went on a Wednesday night and had no trouble getting in and had a great service from Hutch. The highlight of the night was a cherry infused bourbon that he mixed with a house made/scratch made cherry soda that maybe the best cocktail I ever had! I also had a killer Gin & Tonic. Through a series of questions and taste samples, Hutch helped me narrow down my choices and made me a series of fantastic cocktails. I have to say that Hutch has to be one of the best (if not the best) bartender in the US! When we walked into the bar, I was not sure what to ordered and was a little overwhelmed by my choices. He is a wealth of knowledge about the history of bartending and drinks. German-style, unfiltered wheat beers are one of the first things I reach for when the weather starts getting warmer, and Tivoli in Denver has a Mile High. He is the Alton Brown of bartenders and regaled us with fascinating explanations about how they craft the spirts and how he creates the recipes for the cocktails that he makes.
